October News Update!!


As the end of October draws near and Halloween is approaching, i thought i'd let you guys know whats going on behind the scenes

There is a lot going on! But we're fighting through a lot of bugs and issues. Our preview team has been working hard to find as many of the bugs as possible so when we release this update it'll be the best possible experience for you, at Siegehard Studios we want to release our game into Alpha with the next update, and with an alpha release, we're putting a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure it's smooth! 

One of the biggest issues we've faced is working out how to develop some of the key features for buildscape that is both user-friendly and functional, so far we've rebuilt the game twice (this is the last time!!) 

Currently, we're working on grid level and toggling for objects which is proving to be harder than we had anticipated! But overall the biggest thing that has changed since the current public build of the game has been...everything! Nothing at all is the same and here's why...


The old version of the game had a lot of issues which was underlying in it, not only that but when I brought the project to a more modern version and then went to an older version a lot of the scripts and functions broke, making them useless!

There has been a lot of extra things that have been added, such as a Brand new UI as well as new (and improved) build controls, the overall look of the game is significantly better than It was originally. We have also expanded the asset list to include military assets (which i spoke about in an older devlog) before the game went silent. 

I just want to iterate that we Haven't abandoned the project!!

We're working hard on it, like...as often as we possibly can! We've got a list of things we want to get done before we release fully but expect the update (real-life Depending) to be happening within the next few weeks

(P.S. I am aware I did mention that a few months ago but it's been hectic!)
